A complete rebuild of a Maldivian news outlet, including migration of their entire five-year archive.
Huvadhoo Media is a Dhivehi-language news outlet covering the Huvadhoo Atoll. They needed to move off an ageing platform without losing five years of published work or the links their readers had already shared. We designed and built a replacement from the ground up: a Dhivehi-first, mobile-first reading experience, and behind it a complete newsroom system their team runs themselves — writing, editing, scheduling, moderating and selling advertising without needing a developer. The full archive moved across intact, and every existing article link still works exactly as before. Launched August 2026.
